Are you tired of the pushback from kids during literacy? Do you wish there were a way for all students to be engaged and enjoying reading, writing, researching, and sharing their learning? Come learn how educators are incorporating choice learning in their classrooms with Genius Hour. I would love to share how I was able to get underperforming students (from extreme poverty and trauma) reading and writing during our extended school year program without all the pushback. This presentation will include ideas for structuring genius hour in a way that is manageable and differentiates for all learners. I’ve facilitated genius hour with over 250 kids and we’ve had some amazing learning experiences together as a result.
